1 mins to read

Christoph Hornung sat down with Andrii Degeler in early July for the Tech.eu Podcast to discuss Molten's approach to investments in the German-speaking markets, particularly in deeptech and industrytech, as well as his background and thoughts on the industry.

Responsible for Molten Ventures' activities in the German-speaking market, a strong pull for Christoph are both the deep tech and industry tech sectors. Posting the largest number of deals closed within the firm, he sits on eight boards, has done nine investments in the past two and a half years, and on average aims to make three to four investments per year.

He also lays out his two favourite questions to ask a potential hire at Molten. So if you're looking to get into the world of VC, you won't want to miss this episode.

Molten Ventures Growth Fund First Close

Molten Ventures announces the first close of our Growth Fund at £175 million, including a £75 million cornerstone commitment from the British Business Bank.

“There is no shortage of exceptional founders or technology businesses in the UK and Europe; what they too often lack is sufficient growth capital to help them become global leaders. This Fund gives Molten greater firepower to back our highest-conviction companies at Series B and beyond, build meaningful ownership positions and channel capital into the next generation of growth.” -
Ben Wilkinson, CEO of Molten
