We are delighted today to announce the appointment of Chantal Cantle in the newly-created role of Chief People Officer. Reporting to CEO, Ben Wilkinson, Chantal will lead Molten’s people strategy, culture and organisational development.

Chantal brings more than 20 years of strategic people leadership spanning venture capital, investment banking, private equity, global corporates and high-growth technology companies. Most recently, she was Head of People at Balderton Capital, where she became the firm’s first dedicated HR leader and built its people function from the ground up. During her tenure she launched award-winning wellbeing, inclusion and leadership-development programmes.

“I’m excited to bring to Molten a dedicated, senior voice to work alongside me to align our culture, develop our talent and raise the bar for quality across everything we do,” said Ben Wilkinson, CEO of Molten Ventures. “Chantal’s depth of experience in venture capital, her ability to coach investment teams and her proven track record of scaling people functions made her the standout candidate. Her appointment signals our commitment to building the best possible environment for our people and portfolio.”

Chantal Cantle commented: “Molten’s ambition to build an enduring, people-first culture resonated with me immediately. I’m excited to work with Ben and the wider team to create an environment where world-class talent thrives, and to share that expertise with founders across the Molten portfolio.”

Chantal holds an MA in Human Resource Management and a BA (Hons) in Geography from University College London, is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, a trustee of a UK charity, and a regular speaker at industry events and podcasts on leadership, culture and scaling businesses.
